Demarus is the first born of his family Ha'Tel in the tribe Splinter-Horn.
He was never truly accepted into the tribe, his differences were too many. He was never nimble or particularity good with the bow, and his parents despised him for it. He favoured the crafts and culture of the high elves and preferred larger weapons and heavier armour(although he was bared from using it).

His parents would constantly call him stupid, uncultured and a disgrace. They beat him and scarred him. He would isolate himself from the tribe often and killing UROS(Unusual Rodents Of Size) eventually somehow finding pleasure in their pain, and how easy it was to take a life, he confronted his parents.

He barely escaped alive, but the task was done. His parents were dead, their blood feeding the forest, forever a traitor to his tribe. He ran as far away as he could eventually being attacked by a band of brigands. Demarus, in his weakened state could not withstand any injury and was captured. He was seemingly destined to be sold to slave traders.

While trudging down an unknown road, the band was attacked by Manhunters. Demarus, who had healed, escaped his shackles and killed the largest men with a blow to the back of the head with a heavy stone, killing him. He quickly took the mans bag, purse and belt and ran to the east hoping to find hope there.

Your study, methodical cruelty to UROS and ultimate pleasure shows in your combat prowess.  With melee weapons, your critical hit range is increased by 1 since you know where to hit to cause maximum damage.  Your scars and history as a slave give you +2 to intimidate and escape artist checks, while the study of elven culture and crafts gives you +2 to a perform or craft skill of your choice.  You get the bonus feat Weapon Proficiency (Big Rock).
You have a generic starting kit suitable for your class (without specialised equipment, but has a masterwork backpack), a broken masterwork spiked chain and 50gp.
In addition, your choice of:
250XP and 100gp
A combat trained light horse with full riding equipment and saddlebags
A leather belt of unusual design with odd markings

A question as fellow party member Quark, is that a critical multiplier or is it keening all weapons?

Good question, and thanks for bringing it up.
It functions as keening. For example, if a weapon normally threatens a critical on a natural 20, it now threatens a critical on a 19 or 20. It does not stack with any other similar effect.
It's probably overpowered, so I may adjust it at some stage if it's giving too many criticals.

The real question is whether it applies before or after a keen effect. A rapier threatening a critical on an 18-20 would go to a 13-20 threat if they stack. If it was the case you'd score more critical hits against the air than some monsters

I should probably clarify this a little more. I should have checked what keen did before saying it functioned like keen. I intended it to function like this:

Normal range -> Trait Range
20 -> 19-20
19-20 -> 18-20
18-20 -> 17-20

That includes things like Improved Critical, the Keen weapon enhancement, the keen blade spell, &c.
